  • On January 2, 2023, James scored 43 points, making him only the second player in NBA history (after Michael Jordan) to post consecutive 40-point games at age 38 or older.
  • On February 7, 2023, James surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA’s all-time top scorer after he scored his 38,388th career point.
