The right model depends less on the biggest number in the product title and more on how your solar panels are connected, how much of the day your home draws power, and how much room you want to grow later. Zendure sells several SolarFlow units that look similar on a shelf but are built for different setups.
This guide sorts the SolarFlow range by situation: a new plug-and-play balcony system, or a battery added to a solar installation you already own. Everything below comes from the product pages on the brand’s French shop, zendure.fr, as read on 28 October 2026. Specifications, bundles and offers change, so confirm the details on the Zendure FR shop before you order.

Start with one question: DC-coupled or AC-coupled?
Zendure splits its SolarFlow batteries into two families. The first connects solar panels directly to the unit, which charges the battery and feeds the home from one box. The second, described by the brand as AC-coupled, is designed for existing PV installations: it sits next to the system you have and stores or releases energy through the household circuit.
- No solar panels yet, or a balcony kit: look at the SolarFlow 800 Plus or the 800 Pro 2.
- An existing PV system and a wish to store surplus: look at the SolarFlow 1600 AC+ or the 2400 AC+.
- Large roof or multiple circuits: the brand also lists the 2400 Pro, the Mix series and the PowerHub, which are outside the scope of this guide.
SolarFlow 800 Plus: the starting point for a balcony system
The brand presents the SolarFlow 800 Plus as a plug-and-play battery for solar panels and, on its page, says it combines premium quality with a fair price. Its maximum total output is 800 W, and it is offered alone or bundled with panels, for example two 450 W bifacial panels (1,170 Wc) or two 500 W bifacial panels (1,300 Wc), with or without a Smart Meter 3CT-S.
Zendure states that panels and battery can supply the home at the same time within that 800 W ceiling. The unit is compatible with the AB1000 and AB2000 expansion series, and the brand recommends the AB2000X. It lists IP65 protection, Bluetooth 5.0 and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, and a recommended operating range of -20 to 55 degrees Celsius.
SolarFlow 800 Pro 2: more capacity in a smaller case
The 800 Pro 2 is described as an upgraded version of the SolarFlow Pro: smaller, lighter and easier to install without changing the battery capacity. The base configuration is 1,920 Wh, and a bundle with one AB2000L expansion battery is listed at 3,840 Wh in total.
The product FAQ gives some practical limits. Each MPPT input supports up to 660 W with an open-circuit voltage below 55 V, and the brand recommends panels rated up to 1.5 times the MPPT power. Panels from other brands work if the operating voltage is between 14 V and 55 V. It can adjust its output using live data from the Zendure Smart Meter 3CT, a Smart Plug or a Shelly meter, and it can follow dynamic electricity tariffs. Zendure rates the unit IP65.

SolarFlow 1600 AC+ and 2400 AC+: storage for an existing system
The 1600 AC+ is described as an AC-coupled battery solution for existing PV installations, suited to moderate needs: 1,600 W of power, scalable to 11.52 kWh. The base unit holds 1.92 kWh, and the shop lists configurations with one to five AB2000L batteries, up to 11.52 kWh in total.

The 2400 AC+ raises the ceiling. It is described as a plug-and-play AC-coupled storage system for existing installations, with 2,400 W of bidirectional AC power, 800 W as the default setting, and up to 16.8 kWh. The base unit is 2.4 kWh, and each AB3000L expansion battery adds 2,880 Wh, so one battery brings the total to 5.28 kWh.

Quick comparison
| Model | Best for (per the brand) | Base capacity | Maximum capacity | Expansion |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SolarFlow 800 Plus | Plug-and-play balcony systems | See product page | 11.52 kWh with up to 5 batteries | AB1000 / AB2000 series |
| SolarFlow 800 Pro 2 | Smaller, lighter successor to the SolarFlow Pro | 1,920 Wh | 3,840 Wh listed with 1 x AB2000L | AB2000L |
| SolarFlow 1600 AC+ | Existing PV, moderate needs | 1.92 kWh | 11.52 kWh | Up to 5 x AB2000L |
| SolarFlow 2400 AC+ | Existing PV, larger needs | 2.4 kWh | 16.8 kWh | Up to 5 x AB3000L |
Prices are left out on purpose, because they change often and differ between bundles.
Do you need a smart meter?
To match output to household use, a battery needs to see your consumption. Zendure sells Smart Meter units for this, and the Smart Meter 1CT-S page explains the clamp options:
- A 120 A clamp goes on the main line of your electrical panel. It measures consumption and allows dynamic power regulation.
- 50 A clamps are optional. They suit third-party PV production or dedicated circuits and are measurement-only, with no power regulation.
- The 1CT-S has three secondary channels, so you can add up to three 50 A clamps.
- The meter connects over Ethernet, RS485, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and clips onto a DIN rail.
The brand adds that its Zen+ OS, with home energy management, is built into the SolarFlow 2400 AC+, the 2400 Pro and the 800 Plus.

Growing later: expansion batteries
If you are unsure how much storage you need, a base unit plus a later upgrade is a common route. The 800 Plus page says up to five expansion batteries can be connected, for a maximum of 11.52 kWh, and warns not to disconnect batteries while they are charging or discharging and not to touch the metal contacts. Use the supplied brackets and screws to fix the stack.

A winter note on idle batteries
The 800 Plus page advises that if the system is stopped for a long period, you should recharge the battery every two to three months.
Checklist before you order
- Do you already have solar panels, or are you starting from scratch?
- Which model fits your setup: 800 Plus or 800 Pro 2 (panels connect directly), 1600 AC+ or 2400 AC+ (existing PV)?
- How many panels and what voltage? Stay under the 55 V limit per MPPT input on the 800 series.
- Do you need a smart meter?
- How much capacity do you need now, and how many expansion batteries could you add?
- Are the bundle, delivery and warranty terms right on the day you order?
The comparison above should narrow things down to one or two models. From there, open the SolarFlow product pages, read the specification tables and the FAQ, and choose the bundle that matches your panels.
