Before you pay for a premium mattress, it helps to know exactly what you are choosing. With the Saatva Classic that means more than firmness: you also pick a size, one of two heights and a bed base, and you need to know what delivery, the trial and the warranty cover. This checklist pulls those details together from the official Saatva Classic page and related help pages, as they appeared on 26 October 2026.
Check Saatva Classic Sizes and Current Prices
In this guide
Step 1: Choose Your Size
The Classic comes in eight sizes if you count the two split options. Saatva lists the following dimensions, the total coil count for each size, and the list price for the 11.5 inch height before any sale. Prices were checked on 26 October 2026 and can change at any time.
| Size | Dimensions (inches) | Total coils | List price, 11.5 inch height |
|---|---|---|---|
| Twin | 38 x 75 | 752 | $1,449 |
| Twin XL | 38 x 80 | 804 | $1,584 |
| Full | 54 x 75 | 1,040 | $2,029 |
| Queen | 60 x 80 | 1,300 | $2,229 |
| King | 76 x 80 | 1,608 | $2,729 |
| Cal King | 72 x 84 | 1,608 | $2,729 |
| Split King / Split Cal King | Two separate mattresses | 1,608 total | $3,168 for the pair |
Split King and Split Cal King are made of two separate mattresses, which suits couples who want different comfort levels on each side. At the time of writing, a sale banner was showing, and the Queen in the 11.5 inch Luxury Firm version was shown reduced from $2,229 to $1,904. Offers rotate, so confirm the figure on the Saatva site before you order.

Step 2: Pick 11.5 Inches or 14.5 Inches
Saatva sells the Classic in two heights. It says both deliver the same feel and durability, so the choice is about looks, bed height and practicality. Here is how they compare:
| Point | 11.5 inch | 14.5 inch |
|---|---|---|
| Feel and durability | Same, according to Saatva | Same, according to Saatva |
| List price | Starts at $1,449 for a Twin | $20 more per mattress than the 11.5 inch in each size checked |
| Adjustable base | Compatible | Not compatible |
| Queen weight (by firmness) | 87 to 110 lbs | 96 to 117 lbs |
| Sheets | Suits buyers who want to avoid deep pocket sheets, per Saatva | Check the pocket depth of your sheets |
Saatva suggests a thicker mattress may suit taller or larger people, or anyone who wants to get in and out of bed more easily, or whose frame calls for it. A thinner one suits people who prefer a lighter mattress or do not want to buy deep pocket sheets. Thickness alone is not a sign of quality, as the brand itself notes.

Step 3: Decide on the Comfort Level
The Classic is offered in Plush Soft at 3 out of 10, Luxury Firm at 5 to 7, and Firm at 8. Saatva calls Luxury Firm its most popular level and says it is ideal for all sleep positions, while Plush Soft suits side sleepers and Firm suits stomach sleepers and heavier bodies. The mattress has a stated weight limit of up to 300 pounds per sleeper. The comfort quiz on Saatva’s site is a quick way to narrow it down.
Step 4: Check Your Bed Base
The mattress works with several setups, and getting this right protects both comfort and the warranty. According to Saatva, the Classic can sit on:
- A foundation or box spring, alone or on top of Saatva’s universal metal frame, or on a bunkie board.
- A standard bed frame that uses a foundation or box spring.
- A platform bed with a solid surface, or slats at least 3 inches wide and spaced less than 4 inches apart. A center support leg is also needed.
- An adjustable base, but only with the 11.5 inch height.

If you reuse an existing foundation or box spring, Saatva says it should be less than seven years old and in good condition with sturdy center support. Its own foundations come in a standard 8.75 inch height or a 4.75 inch low profile, so you can mix and match to reach the bed height you like. At the time of writing, the page also advertised savings of up to 100 dollars when you add a foundation or adjustable base.

Step 5: Understand Delivery
Saatva says the Classic is not a bed in a box. Instead, it arrives through free white glove delivery, which means the team brings the mattress to the room of your choice and sets it up. You can tick a box at checkout to have your old mattress and foundation taken away at no extra charge, with a few exclusions such as waterbed bases and stained or damaged mattresses. The brand states that orders typically ship from its factories in 9 to 21 days depending on your zip code.
Because the mattress is heavy, with a Queen weighing between 87 and 117 pounds depending on height and firmness, having it carried in and set up for you is a real convenience.

Step 6: Know the Trial, Returns and Warranty
Saatva lists a 365-night home trial on its mattresses. If you decide to return or exchange within that year, you receive a refund of the purchase price and pay only a 99 dollar processing fee. Adjustable bases are not eligible for returns or exchanges.
The warranty is described as a Friends for Life warranty, which covers defects in workmanship and materials for as long as you, the original purchaser, own the mattress. In the first 2 years a defective mattress is replaced with a new one. From year 3, Saatva repairs and re-covers it for a 149 dollar processing fee. Body impressions greater than 1.5 inches are covered. Saatva also sells an optional Extend protection plan for accidental stains and damage that the warranty does not cover.
