RestaurantWeek’s headline prices are easy to remember: 490 Kč or 790 Kč for a three-course menu. The more useful figure for planning an evening, however, is the cost of a complete reservation. Booking fees and, for selected slots, a Prime Time surcharge change the total before you order anything extra at the restaurant.
The Czech autumn 2026 edition runs from 13 October to 18 November, with participating restaurants in Prague, Brno and Ostrava. This guide focuses on budgeting and choosing a suitable booking rather than ranking restaurants we have not visited. The figures below come from the festival’s official pages, checked on 8 November 2026.
Add the reservation fee before comparing menus
The official festival page shows two menu tiers: 490 Kč plus a 49 Kč reservation fee, or 790 Kč plus a 79 Kč reservation fee. Reservations are for at least two guests. That means the starting cost is not simply twice the large number on the promotional headline.
For the lower tier, 490 plus 49 is 539 Kč per person, or 1,078 Kč for two. For the higher tier, 790 plus 79 is 869 Kč per person, or 1,738 Kč for two. These are calculated reservation totals before Prime Time charges and any additional purchases.
The difference between the two tiers for a couple is therefore 660 Kč before optional extras. That is a useful comparison when deciding whether a particular menu is worth more to you. It does not establish that the higher tier is always the better experience or that the lower tier is always the better value.
A simple comparison for two guests
The official FAQ says Prime Time adds 60 Kč per guest, including VAT, and identifies the label with Friday and Saturday slots at 7 pm, local Czech time. Check the actual slot and final total before payment rather than assuming every evening reservation carries the charge.
| Menu tier and slot | Per-person calculation | Total for two |
|---|---|---|
| 490 Kč tier, without Prime Time | 490 + 49 Kč | 1,078 Kč |
| 490 Kč tier, with Prime Time | 490 + 49 + 60 Kč | 1,198 Kč |
| 790 Kč tier, without Prime Time | 790 + 79 Kč | 1,738 Kč |
| 790 Kč tier, with Prime Time | 790 + 79 + 60 Kč | 1,858 Kč |
For two people, selecting a Prime Time slot adds 120 Kč. Compare that with the convenience of your preferred time and the cost of getting to the restaurant. An earlier or different-day slot is only a saving if it still fits the evening you want to have.
All amounts here are in Czech koruna. Visitors paying with a card in another currency should check their own provider’s exchange rate and charges. We have not converted these totals into pounds or euros because the final conversion will depend on the payment arrangements.

Read all three courses, not just the headline dish
The festival describes a three-course experience consisting of a starter, main course and dessert. When comparing menus, read the complete sequence. A main course you love may be less appealing if the other two courses contain ingredients you avoid or simply do not enjoy.
Discuss the options with everyone in the group before booking. Check which menu each guest wants and whether the booking flow requires selections in advance. Do not assume a restaurant will swap dishes on arrival, or that a vegetarian option automatically meets other dietary requirements.
For allergies or other essential restrictions, confirm suitability with the restaurant or organiser before paying. An abbreviated dish title cannot establish how food is prepared or whether cross-contact can be avoided. If the information is unclear, choose a menu that can be confirmed rather than treating a booking as a request for an unadvertised alternative.
Plan around the ninety-minute reservation
The official page allocates 90 minutes to a reservation. That matters when arranging transport, meeting friends and choosing what else to do that day. A festival table is not necessarily an open-ended evening in which the group can arrive at different times and stay as long as it likes.
Aim to have everyone ready for the booked start. If your group is travelling from different places, agree a meeting point beforehand rather than using the first part of the reservation to find one another. This is ordinary planning advice, not an additional condition invented by the festival.
Visitors combining dinner with a performance or another timed activity should leave a sensible margin. Ninety minutes describes the reservation window, not a promise about the exact minute each course arrives or how long the journey afterwards will take.
Understand the gift cocktail without assuming everything is included
The festival promotes a Martini and Kinley Tonic Water cocktail as a gift for adult guests aged 18 and over. Its booking guidance says to select the cocktail option during the reservation process if you want to try it. Check what is shown in your chosen booking rather than assuming an unspecified drink will appear automatically.
Do not interpret the gift as an open drinks package. Before ordering anything else, ask what is included and what is payable separately. Water, additional drinks or other items should be judged by the restaurant’s current information, not by the presence of a cocktail photograph on the festival page.
If you do not drink alcohol, confirm the available alternative rather than assuming every restaurant offers the same substitute. The same principle applies to any promotional extra: use the details attached to your reservation, not a broad expectation based on another guest’s experience.
Check the booking before payment
The organiser describes a process of choosing a restaurant, menu, date, time and number of guests, then paying electronically and receiving an email confirmation. Review every field before the payment step. A correct date paired with the wrong city or guest count is still an incorrect reservation.
Read the current change and cancellation rules before committing. We are not promising that a particular reservation can be refunded or moved without cost. Those conditions belong to the booking terms, and should be checked directly if your plans are uncertain.
After booking, keep the confirmation accessible and check that it matches what you intended. If something looks wrong, contact the organiser promptly rather than waiting until arrival. The confirmation is more useful than a screenshot of the general festival headline because it records your actual selection.
Compare the whole evening, not a claimed percentage saving
The festival advertises discounts of up to 50 percent. An up-to figure is not a guarantee that every menu represents that saving against an equivalent ordinary meal. Compare the actual dishes, reservation total and any extras that matter to you.
For a couple choosing between the two tiers, ask what the additional 660 Kč buys in the menus you are considering. For a larger group, agree the budget before sharing a booking suggestion. It is easier to choose a suitable table when nobody has to guess whether the advertised price includes the fees.
RestaurantWeek can provide a structured way to try somewhere new during the autumn edition. The clearest approach is to choose the food first, calculate the full reservation cost and confirm the terms. That keeps the evening focused on the meal rather than an unexpected difference between the headline and the total.
